Details Introduction
Lightweight clay bricks generally have an Al₂O₃ content of more than 40%. The raw materials consist of 65-85% clinker and 35-15% bonding clay. The crushed bonding clay is mixed with finely ground clinker, then combined with granular clinker to prepare a semi-dry mud material, which is formed under high pressure and fired at about 1400°C, resulting in good performance.
Lightweight clay bricks are inexpensive, but have good thermal shock stability and insulation properties. They are mainly used in thermal boilers, glass kilns, cement kilns, fertilizer gasifiers, blast furnaces, hot blast stoves, coke ovens, electric furnaces, and bricks for casting and pouring steel.
The materials for ordinary lightweight thermal insulation refractory bricks include clay, high-alumina, high-strength pearl bricks, low-iron mullite, high-alumina lightweight bricks, and diatomaceous earth insulation bricks.
Note: The usage temperature of lightweight clay insulation bricks should not exceed 1200°C. They have efficient insulation properties and should not come into direct contact with fire.
