Lightweight acid-resistant castable materials have good resistance to all inorganic and organic acids except hydrofluoric acid and hot phosphoric acid. The production process and construction are simple, with high material utilization rates and relatively high strength at room temperature. They can also be made into prefabricated parts for installation on-site in kiln rotation work, such as lining castings in chimneys.
