Details Introduction
Mainly used in the lining of preheaters, pipeline linings, and cooler linings of cement rotary kilns, alkaline-resistant castables can also be used in the preheaters of white lime kilns.
Alkaline-resistant castables are mainly divided into two categories: lightweight alkaline-resistant castables and heavyweight alkaline-resistant castables, with different raw materials and application ranges.
The raw materials for lightweight alkaline-resistant castables include expanded clay, clay, aggregates, and expanded perlite, combined with calcium aluminate cement. Lightweight alkaline-resistant castables are mainly used in the top of preheaters, the body of rotary kilns, and thermal insulation linings inside the kilns.
Heavyweight alkaline-resistant castables are mainly used in the lining of preheaters, pipeline linings, and cooler linings of cement rotary kilns, and can also be used in the preheaters of white lime kilns.
Heavyweight alkaline-resistant castables are divided into high-strength alkaline-resistant castables and alkaline-resistant castables. Heavyweight alkaline-resistant castables are made from aluminosilicate raw materials and high-pressure electromagnetic aggregates and powders, combined with high-alumina cement, and produced by adding ultrafine powder and dispersants.
The characteristics of heavyweight alkaline-resistant castables include good thermal stability, high strength, and wear resistance.
After use, high-strength alkaline-resistant castables form a glaze on the surface, which has a lower melting temperature and easily forms a liquid phase during the sintering process. The liquid phase helps promote the densification of the structure, sealing, and improving alkaline resistance.
