Details Introduction
Lightweight clay bricks generally have an Al₂O₃ content of more than 40%. The clinker in the mixture is 65-85%, and the combined clay is 35-15%. The crushed combined clay and finely ground clinker are mixed and then formulated into semi-dry mud with granular clinker, high-pressure molded, and fired at about 1400°C, resulting in good performance.
Lightweight clay bricks are inexpensive, but have good thermal shock stability and insulation properties, mainly used in thermal boilers, glass kilns, cement kilns, fertilizer gasifiers, blast furnaces, hot blast stoves, coke ovens, electric furnaces, casting, and steel pouring bricks, etc.
The materials of ordinary lightweight insulating refractory bricks include clay, high-alumina, high-strength pearl bricks, low-iron mullite, high-alumina lightweight bricks, and diatomite insulating bricks.
Note: The use temperature of lightweight clay insulation bricks should not exceed 1200°C, and they have efficient insulation and heat preservation effects, and should not be in direct contact with fire.
